Tax Filing Center Introduction
Welcome to the Tax Filing Center for Dynamics SL
Thank you for installing the Tax Filing Center for Dynamics SL. We will do everything in our power to ensure it works properly and saves you real time with your tax reporting needs. This guide provides some basic information about how to use the Tax Filing Center and also lists support options available to you.
Post-Installation Setup
Before running the Tax Filing Center, your System Administrator will need to associate users appropriately. We have created a User Group in Dynamics SL by the name of "Greenshades." In order to gain access to the SL Menu Items listed below, your IT department will first need to associate any Tax Filing Center users with the Greenshades Group user group.
Alternatively, you may assign our SL screen (GS.SOL.LI) to any user group already in SL. In Menu Maintenance in SL, the Command Line For Application field must contain the text in the box below
Running the Application
For your convenience, the Tax Filing Center can be launched from within Dynamics SL. Look for our shortcut under:
Microsoft Dynamics SL -> Company -> Financial -> Payroll -> Processes -> Greenshades Center
Or, for 1099 returns:
Microsoft Dynamics SL -> Company -> Financial -> Accounts Payable -> Processes -> Greenshades Center
Required Dynamics SL Reports
The Tax Filing Center creates electronic tax returns using information found within Dynamics SL. Typically this information is found inside payroll history, employee cards, etc., however there are some times when Greenshades uses information from Dynamics SL reports. Please run the following reports within Dynamics SL before attempting to create the associated electronic return files within the Tax Filing Center:
Greenshades uses information from the Dynamics 941 Quarterly Federal Tax Worksheet when creating the 941 E-File. You may find this report in Dynamics SL under Financial -> Payroll -> Report -> 941 Quarterly Tax Return.
Greenshades uses information from the Dynamics Unemployment Tax Worksheet for both the Federal 940 FUTA E-File as well as all state unemployment E-Files. You may find this report under this report in Dynamics SL under Financial -> Payroll -> Report -> Unemployment Tax Return.
Registration Key
The first time you run the Tax Filing Center you will be prompted for a registration key. This key should have been issued to you when you purchased the product. If you need this information again then you can retrieve it at MyGreenshades.

We have two main tools to assist you with the Tax Filing Center. First, our Product Guide is a simple, big-picture overview of how to run the Tax Filing Center.
Second, nearly every page of the Tax Filing Center has a small blue help icon located in a bottom corner that looks like this: . Clicking this in-product help icon will bring up a page with instructions that are specific to the task you are completing.
